Over the Christmas holidays all received QSL requests were processed. About 800 letters were handed over to the German post office for shipping. Over 2000 QSL cards were issued. The letters should arrive in the next few days. The Bureau Cards will be send at the beginning of January to the DARC QSL Bureau.

We got the QSL cards from printing. We start now with the mailing process.

34,000 QSOs are in the log. We are beginning to take down the Spiderbeam and the yagis today at noon. This needs to be done at daylight because our flight back home leaves tomorrow morning pretty early. We are going to leave the low band antennas one more night and hope to get more low band QSOs into the log.

Thanks for your OQRS requests. It will take a while until we have chosen a QSL card image and having the cards printed at QSL Shop. We hope having answered all direct and OQRS requests around Christmas. Will announce any news here on this page.

We have achieved more than 30,000 QSOs. Please send your call at least twice when you call us on the low bands. We can't copy you when you send your call sign just once.

We have added another loop for 40m. The loop works really well, at times better than the 2 element 40m yagi because we hear better on the loop. See the updated VP2MDL pictures page for new pictures.

We were quite busy setting up the station. First of all thanks to George K2DM, Clover and David, the owners of Gingerbread Hills, for letting us operate here. We have maintained the tower, installed a TH6 and a 40m yagi. We also built a Spiderbeam. An inverted V for 80 and 160 installed at the tower allows us parallel operating. We have a loop on 30m. Three stations are in use: a K3 with a OX1000 PA, a K2 with a OX1000 and a TS570 with a AL80A. There are sometimes power failures, sometimes for 10 minutes, sometimes one to two hours, day and night. Everybody is in good spirit and we are managing the pileups.

We have asked the license authority. 60m is included and we have made the first 60m QSOs today.

First VP2MDL pictures uploaded.

Please no log questions, we are too busy here. We fix busted calls after our DXpedition. The log search does not yet show the timestamp of the last QSO in the log. We are working on it.
